Bottle, from Riepen Harrislee. Pours nutty-brown amber with a big thick foamy head. Aroma has caramel, malts, sugary sweetness. Low carbonation. Quite metallic flavour. Limited sweetness - a little toffee and an acceptable final bitterness.

Bier trip in Köln, yeah! Dark brown, big white head. Nice menthe-ish aroma. Good bitterness, with malt and a long finish. Even some ginger there! But why is the beer on the picture to the left so light..?

Bottle 50 cl. [Trade with DerDoppelbock, thanks Sebastian!]Average light creamy like off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Clear sparkling body with a light dark amber color. Aroma of straw, grain, caramel, grass, light toasted notes with some fruit as well. Light – medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Flavor was light bitter with hint of sweetness. Somewhat bitter and dry finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours beautiful cobber, filtered, huge creamy/crispy head. Aroma of bitter hops, a vague fruit note and malt. Flavour is nice malty sweet and distinct bitter. Very well balanced. Bitter dry finish.

Bottle. The aroma is like a dark bread, roasted or burnt, earthly (yeastly). The appearance of the frothy head is very niche with a off-white colour which is long lasting. The initial flavour is bitter, the finish is long. On the palate the body is medium to full with a dry texture (a little bit oily) and a soft carbonation. Overall this is a positive surprise on the german beer market, the design of the bottle is also noteworthy. A good one!

A mid to dark, orange brown coloured beer with a thickish white head. A light hoppy nose with a tiny hint of malt. A dry taste, metallic hop with a bland, syrupy malt flavour that lasts through to a dry finish. A bit dull.(Bottle - courtesy of Mark & Marie @ The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk).

Bottle, thanks to Sebastian for trading!
Reddish amber body. Off-white head with some lace. Soapy, lightly malty, sweet aroma. Lightly bitter flavour, has some flavours of plain chicken wings. Certainly not interesting.

(Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Dark amber colour with short, off-white head, leaving some lacing. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of toffee and chocolate. Malty, roasted nose with toffee, caramel, fudge and slight notes of hops in the rather short finish. Fairly dry. Carbonation making it slightly prickly. Definitely not a very bitter beer, but balanced with a rather nice taste.
