Dark brown color, not so much head.
Not much scent, but a clear bitter taste. Nice when you have time to sit down and slowly have a pint. 5/4/8/4/12=3.3

Amber colour, large to moderate off-white head. Lovely hoppy aroma when pouring, not equally impressive in the glass. For something from Germany called "Bitterbier" I kind of expected a hoppy explosion, but the bitterness is actually very moderate. Still, some hops are around, and they are quite well balanced with the malts. Hints of caramel and a certain herbal spiciness too. Unusual style for Germany, but not really remarkable. A bit sweetish malt on a solid body. If the name make you expect a bitter beer, you’ll be surprised as this has no more bitterness than your average German pilsener. Has some wheat malt thrown in also. Style wise this is very unusual for Germany. 090300 vanvenlo (794), Glen Iris, Australia
