Smell is roasted malt, nuts, and copper. Taste is different than other dunkelweizens I’ve had. Very nice bitterness that has notes of roasted malt, butter, and maybe walnuts/pecans. Medium carbonation. Full bodied. Top notch in my book. Smooth and fun to drink! Ole (14), Bröndby, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 6, 2007 well, this is one of the beer where it is really hard to find the correct style. the one i chose is the les wrong one. in fact it has amber colour and it is an ale-style. but this one is very different from he "bitter bier" from the same brewery. big and solid head.
hopsy smell and start. some bitterness, some smokey aromes. mid is hops-dominated but of the flowery kind. the finish has some malts which adds to the hops and makes a delicious and long end. gnoff (3579), Göteborg, Sweden

Dark brown color, not so much head.
Not much scent, but a clear bitter taste. Nice when you have time to sit down and slowly have a pint. 5/4/8/4/12=3.3

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 18, 2007 Bottle. The aroma is like a dark bread, roasted or burnt, earthly (yeastly). The appearance of the frothy head is very niche with a off-white colour which is long lasting. The initial flavour is bitter, the finish is long. On the palate the body is medium to full with a dry texture (a little bit oily) and a soft carbonation.
Overall this is a positive surprise on the german beer market, the design of the bottle is also noteworthy. A good one! mwesth (279), Skovlunde, Denmark
