Medium sized soapy head with some clinging lacing. Aroma has a whiff of light apple, lemon, some straw notes. Flavour has caramel accents, grains, some grassy hops. Citrusy aftertaste with mild leafy hops, light bitterness. Light body, mild carbonation. Likable, sessionalble, straightforward. DuffMan (2774), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Big 1L swingtop shared with Parksy. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with an average white head. Grainy aroma with soft grassy notes and fruity perfume, reminding me a little of orange blossom. This delicate nuance was lost after the beer rested however. Flavour was of pale malts with a kiss of fruity hops and low bitterness. More like a golden ale IMHO. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2009 1L bottle after enjoying the Stamps Labour Day blowout victory over Edmonton. Thick foam on hazy dark amber. Very light fruit aroma; apricot? Good bitterness and a strong apricot character. Palate leaves me looking for more but I like the lingering bitter ghost. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Tried this one over a year back from a bottle bought from a BC liquor store. Had a nice sweet taste, some unique elements in the flavour, was okay, taste was a little artificial to be a bitter though. I think the name is the main driver behind buying a bottle! mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Clear, light orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Grainy bitter toasted leaves flavour with a fruity finish. Medium body is bitter. Nice bitterness, drinkable, great start to the evening but otherwise nothing special.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Bottle my Dad brought back from V.I. Clear golden yellow pour with a frothy, thick white foam with very good retention. Smell is sweet malts, a little grainy. Taste is mild hops, malts, and a herby kind of sweetness with that crisp, bitter finish. Not my favourite style of beer, but certainly enjoyable.
