emacgee (1132), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jun 30, 2008 Shared by durhambeer. Pours a very pale brown, yellowish orange tinges. Thin fizzy light tan head. The nose is kind of nutty, some caramel, looks and smells like a lot of caramel malt was used along with a nutty English malt of some kind. The flavor is thin and nondescript, a little nutty a little sweet. Very easy to drink.
masonjer (452), Holt, Michigan, USA Oct 2, 2008 Thanks to Pepsican for the bottle. Pours cloudy brown with very little head. Aroma is quite faint, bit of raisin and malt. Taste is hints of caramel, bitter coffee, and nuts. A little soapy as well. I try to be cordial in all my ratings, but this had hardly any flavor. pineypower (892), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Sep 18, 2008 Thanks to Pepsican for this bottle. Pours out a moderate hue of brown with a very small white head. Aroma is sweet with caramel, fruit, vanilla and slight burnt coffee. Taste sweet malts, fruit, caramel and a slight coffee note in there too, body rather watery. fredandboboflo (627), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of raisins, prunes, coffee, caramel, mango, malt. Flavor uber malty and way too sweet...weird rotted nut shells show up as well. Not a good one. LilBeerDoctor (635), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bottle courtesy of pepsican. Pours a light brown with a small white head. Aroma of dark fruits, raisin, molasses, and caramel. Flavor of dark roasted malt, faint coffee, and sweet molasses. Kind of odd tasting and hard to describe, perhaps musty? In any case, I didn’t care for this beer at all. daknole (852), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 16, 2008 from pepsican...thanks. Surprisingly good. Pours a clear brown with a small tan head. aroma is barely there, maybe a bit of malt and wood. Flavor has some malty coffee notes and its pretty smooth. watery finish however.
