Hub City Cliff Shot Kolsch

Brewery is now Triple Js but the beers are the same. Pours out a nice golden yellow color with no head. Aroma is full of corn as is the flavor. not that great.

Really not that bad for a brewpub’s lowest common denominator beer. The burnt popcorn flavor that I always get from Kolsch’s is well restrained.

Pour is pale pale yellow (a la Ultra) with thin white head...smell is grainy with corn and some light citrus notes...flavor is corn, grain, with a sticky sweet citrus aftertaste...

tap at brewpub-pours a light yellow, lighter than the light beer. very small white head. where is the aroma? very grainy flavors of pale/munich malt husks. no hop presence in this beer, which is a key quality to a good kolsch. The worst beer of the brewery this day.
