Hub City Texas Gold Schwarzbier

tap at brewpub-When i was served this beer, i thought it was a porter. The flavors threw me off at first, then i realilzed that this was a schwarzbier. pours a deep amber/brown hue with a decent off-white head. roasty, nutty, chocolate aromas. flavors of almond, german hops, chocolate, and short roast. A nice chocolate finish. The mid-palate of this beer was hard for me to describe. Its robust for this style. nice work!
