| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 18, 2006 Huber Bock pours a deep brown with a tan head. Smells malty, roasted. The taste is malty again, with a hint of caramel. The palate is carbonated, but the roasted malt flavor lingers on your tastebuds. Goes down rather sharply for a bock, but still extremely drinkable. Quite affordable as well. This could well become my everyday beer. bigtasty (23), USA

I used to get 24 for ten bucks from a liquor store in Chicago. Then I’d save the bottles and return them. Those were the beauty times.
Now, it tastes kinda shitty. The returnable bottles added a special flavor. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 7, 2006 Pour is a nice looking dark brown with a white head. Aroma is roasty with slight hints of hops. Flavor is bready and malty. Nothing really puts it ovre the top but still it is half way decent. A plus is it only cost $8 12 of bottles. Good session beer when your just looking to knock back a few. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 3, 2006 From a 12oz. twist cap long neck brown bottle, no bottled/freshness date. Made a good appearance, poured a clear rudy hued dark nut brown with a fluffy, foamy off-white head that settled into a semi-sticky thin lacing, medium carbonation. Had a toasted grainy and slightly fruity malt nose with a little nuttiness. A smooth, but thin light bodied mouth feel, not much of a body, average drinkability. Toasted grainy and a roasted fruity malt taste, a little nutty banana bready as well, not much of a hop presence, and a watery, toasted grainy finish with a little dryness lingering in the palate.
I saw this listed in "All About Beer" magazine, given 90 pts., so when I came across this in the store, I thought I would try again, I hadn’t tasted one in years. I guess I could have scored the taste lower, it is a bit watery and thin bodied, especially for a bock, but it is at a very affordable, cheap price and I felt it wasn’t that bad.

Watery consistency. Sweet caramel malt is the predominate tone for this one. Starchy finish. Snoozer. mdi (573), Nebraska, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 12, 2006 Draft at CM Bockfest. Dark brown color, tan head. Mild malty & roasty aroma...flavor is moderately malty with a slight carmel tone and a bit roasty. Somewhat sweet. Light bodied. Not impressive in the least...but not offensive or awful. Pretty tame and boring. DrnkMcDermott (1860), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 6, 2006 Sampler from bottle. Okay, a nice foamy head. Dark in color, but not in taste. In fact, a big load of corn sweetener that makes it a little flowery. No roasts or darkness to it. A butterscotch finish. This beer was not a part of my growing up in the Midwest (Huber didn’t come to my part of Iowa) so I have no emotional attachment to it then or now. glkaiser (1171), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 12, 2006 As waolsen said below....this beer is something special. I can’t believe they still make this stuff....
One of my friends climbed a tree and fell off a roof after drinking this stuff. There were multiple times we ran around the neighborhood streaking after drinking muliple cases of Huber. It does weird things to you...I think they put crack in it.
But, it was like $8/case when I was in college, and it was a dark beer with at least a little bit of taste....
Drink with caution.
