It was Fronleichnam (religious Bavarian feast) when I visited this tiny brewery. There was a Roman Catholic procession goning on. The Gasthaus was open, of course. Served from tap in a Steinkrug. Chocolate and caramel. Some hops in the background. Not a very clean palate, but it suits this beer pretty well. Some lychee shimmering through. It is amazing a village like Wattendorf with less than 500 inhabitants has two breweries.
