garrison (455), Cin. city, Ohio, USA Sep 23, 2009 From a bottle at 2009 Bockfest - This is a decent commercial domestic bock, sweet, fey, and cloying, but it seems to lack body and has a slightly watery finish. Another okay brew from the folks at the Lion Brewery. shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Mar 8, 2009 3/07/2009: The recipe for Hudy Bock actually changes every year as it is based on the winning Traditional Bock homebrew from the previous year. For 2009 Hudy Bock was dark and malty with more breadiness in the flavor than actual malt. There weren’t really any hops to note in either the aroma or flavor save for a slight bitterness in the dry, slightly roasty finish. This beer has a creamy texture and a dense beige head. Overall this is a basic bock made to appeal to everybody that is easy to drink and moderate in alcohol content.
Draught (pint) at Bockfest Hall during Bockfest 2009 in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio. Rating #1 for this beer...
