Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Fairly well hopped. Well rounded and stays on the palate well. Pretty full-bodied

This is a nice pale ale, though nothing special. While a good beer, there is sooo much better in Humboldt County.

After seeing the other rates, I fell bad for not liking this, but it just wasn’t there. Color- amber Head- semi-rocky. Aroma- nothing special.

Slightly couldy, dark amber with a golden hue and vanilla, hoppy nose. Bitter with hop flavoring and bitter finish. I didn’t enjoy this much.

Golden with an amber hue and lacey head. Very perfumy nose, with honey and vanilla (vanilla extract) pervading. Very light mouthfeel with a bit of bitter yeast taste. A fruity/honey taste dominates. While there is no lack of flavor in this beer there was a bit of a foul mustiness too it that could be due to age, I’m really not sure.

Nice foam and a perfume aroma to fall in love with. Sweet, fruit -- peaches, honey and snappy bite. Beer is the second best product of Northern California!

An extraordinarily tasty ale. Fresh and beautiful, just like the coast of northern California, where this fine beer is made.
