Smells of roasted peanuts, light choco and cherries. Taste of cherries, dark chocolate, and oranges. Light carbonation, smooth. Similar to a RED ALE AND PORTER HYBRID. Not bad. Aroma is very nutty and sweet. Soft brown/toasty malt base. A rich sweet toasted nut base. Fairly clean though with a nice soft sweetness. Fresh maltiness with a nice soft sweetness. Fresh maltiness and a light toasted malt base. It’s actually a pretty nice beer... it just isn’t really my style. Delirium (502), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Draught. Pours dark amber/brown with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavor are both sweet, slightly roasty caramel malt, with a hint of fruit. Small bit of spices, but I would call this an amber, really (not sure where the hemp comes in). However, it is a pretty good amber, with a fairly nice roasty/sweet malt character. ghawener (974), San Salvador, El Salvador

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 18, 2008 Bottle… Dark, clear crimson ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. Decent retention. Subdued, malty nose provides subtle notes of chocolate, nuts and vanilla. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Well-balanced flavor offers traces of chocolate and nuts. Short, crisp, clean finish. Brown ale, I think. Rciesla (3880), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Pretty simple and thin. Light toasted malt, i missed the truely hemp portion of this brew. I guess it had a note of spices. patrick820 (69), San Luis Obispo, California, USA

I have no idea why they call it "hemp" ale, but it’s over all a good beer.
