clear dark brown, short lived fine beige head still manages to leave a bit of lace, sweet nutty chocolate aroma with earthy hops, well balanced malt flavor with nice chocolate and mild bitterness, a typical brown ale

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 11, 2006 12oz bottle. Poured a deeper ruby red/brownish color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, nuts, and a wet grassy/earthiness. Tastes of chocolate, nuts, and earthy. Thinner body. Didn’t really get a ’spice/herb/vegatable’ out of it. hopscotch (5490), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 18, 2008 Bottle… Dark, clear crimson ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. Decent retention. Subdued, malty nose provides subtle notes of chocolate, nuts and vanilla. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Well-balanced flavor offers traces of chocolate and nuts. Short, crisp, clean finish. Brown ale, I think.
