Murky golden orange pour with a quickly fading head.Nose is full of clove and yeast. Flavor reminds me of a cross between a belgian tripel and a west coast ipa. Has the spicy fruity traits of the tripel and the big hop presence of an IPA. Odd, but good beer.

Bottle. A rich golden color with lots of rising bubbles. A fairly standard Triple aroma with hops, spice, coriander, and orange. A candy flavor with noticeable alcohol.

Medium gold color, large head. Full bodied Belgian Triple Ale, unfiltered. Malty and hoppy. There is definitely candy sugar sweetness to this beer. Malt sweetness is balanced by hop spiciness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and somewhat dry. Aftertaste is malty with a slight bitterness. Not much of an alcohol bite, despite an 8.9% alcohol content.

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Pleasant alcohol sweetness, not too much despite the high alcohol level. Very good version
