Flavor reminds me of a cross between a belgian tripel and a west coast ipa. Has the spicy fruity traits of the tripel and the big hop presence of an IPA. Odd, but good beer. mixamatt (427), San Francisco, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 25, 2002 Medium gold color, large head. Full bodied Belgian Triple Ale, unfiltered. Malty and hoppy. There is definitely candy sugar sweetness to this beer. Malt sweetness is balanced by hop spiciness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and somewhat dry. Aftertaste is malty with a slight bitterness. Not much of an alcohol bite, despite an 8.9% alcohol content. argo0 (6951), Washington DC, USA
