Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA Jan 27, 2004 Gold color with decent sized head. Big malt taste right up front with caramel finish that you can't ignore. 6.2% masked very nicely. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA Mar 2, 2003 A very deep golden/ color with a hint of aged copper. The air is filled with sugary spices and butterscotch. Tastes very weak, with only a small amount of burnt caramel malt coming through, then the taste vanishes. An uninspiring brew here DaSilky1 (1933), San Diego, California, USA Aug 10, 2002 Updated: Feb 22, 2003clear and golden with a lathering beauty... aroma was carmelly and sweet..
Flavor was harsh malty sweetness followed by nothingness..sweet..reminds me of snow..but I HATE SNOW..thats why i moved to san diego..I like these brewers but i dont like this that much..bitters aren't too bitter IMO 666seth (219), California, USA Jan 15, 2002 Not bad, altough it starts pretty heavy. This cause of its powerful hoppiness which may is not everyones taste. But not a bad choice for the season. joet (1699), Fulton, California, USA Nov 17, 2001 Gorgeous deep golden with a bit of amber, and redolent piney hops start this one off. When the foam dies down you can see resinous surface and the approach yields some last second malt carmels. The taste is a total disappointment. These chaps must’ve been talking to Stone. Here’s some advice: lots of hops do not a good beer make. Thanks for the hop tea guys, but this is hardly a beer.
