Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 15, 2008 Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet maty with notes fo caramel, hops, and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of dusty and grapefruity hops. An OK beer, but I’d like a bit more power. Thanks fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing.

In the background you can see a gorgeous sunrise over the sea. But wait - what’s this - the scene has been desecrated by a row of ugly modern wind turbines across the horizon. Some political message here, methinks! The beer itself pours orange-amber with a moderate lasting white head. Rather too bitter for my liking - the bitterness of burnt marmalade, A little earth and treacle, with a sticky mouthfeel. Not a great experience beerwise - I should have stuck to looking at the beautiful label!
