A very interesting beer. Chocolate and light soy aroma. Decent body under a beer that had some briney notes to it that were perhaps from the oysters. I liked it and will gladly purchase again (although this one was a gift) if I can.

Bottle (750ml). Poured black (virtually) with a large, creamy, brown head which lasted superbly. Great aroma with strong notes of dark chocolate and sticky toffee, dried mixed fruits, roasted caramel malts, vanilla and just a hint of saltiness. Flavor was of sticky toffee with roasted malts, lightly burnt sugar, caramelized dried fruits, coco powder, some light oaky (vanilla) notes and hints of licorice in the finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel, thick texture and a great finish. Cant say I picked up any notes of oysters just a subtle saltiness which was very pleasant. Another winner from Potter Brewery.

Strong malt aroma. Black colour with thick foamy head and good lacing. Smokey malt with an oyster flavour aftertaste. Smooth paalte. Going down well with my fresh oysters.

bottle, big thanks to linc. black with a fading beige head. aroma of cocoa powder and rockmelon. lightly salty but not fishy, hints of whipped cream and cocoa powder. quite a light texture for a stout, finishes with a good amount of burnt bitterness. i’m amazed to say that this is a really good beer
