| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Florida Beer Co. does make some pretty good brews and the Hurricane Reef Pils wasn’t bad but I wasn’t a fan of this one. Dark gold or copper color with a thin head and a spot of lacing here and there. Aroma is malty and grassy. Sweet malty and grainy flavor with some bland, dry hops on the back end but this is just flat out weak. It’s not foul but with so many solid choices out there it’s hard to recommend this one. Aromas of skunky week, caramel, floral, and a little earthy. Tastes of caramel and citrus. Had a lighter tart finish that was out of place. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

Rich caramel flavor, but not much in the bitternes category. Surprisingly unlike a pale ale. Not bad, but no knee slapper either. I doubt I’d drink this again. Just too pedestrian.
