| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 15, 2008 Dark golden to light amber color. Caramel, light fruit and just a hint of citric hops aromas. I Keep trying to hind the components that make me wince when I smell an amber and I’m honing in on it with this brew. Something about the fruit, caramel and hops just does not work for me. I’m suddenly smelling a caramel apple with herbs on the outside. Lightly sweet citric start. LIght stomach acid at times. Sourdough and hints of caramel. I’m thinking Caribbean lager with a amber twist. RunDWP (203), San Jose, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 20, 2008 Drank it out of a plastic cup in my Orlando hotel room...looked a cloudy orange, minimal head. Light hops, slightly yeasty and grapefruity taste. Goes down pretty smooth, low carbination. Nice easy drinking pale ale. shackinetics (132), Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 12, 2008 An orange amber with little head. Somewhat odd sour mash, vinegar smell. Better taste with some average hops and a smooth biscuity malt finish. OK, but certainly nothing exciting. smackie (45), St. Augustine, Florida, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Updated: Mar 8, 2008Kinda disappointed in the APA part of this description. Nose is grapefruit/juniper. Syrup taste. No bubbles. Thin to no head. Would do better with a slice of orange. Slightly insulting with its references to the Northwest and appeal to "true connoisseurs". This was suppose to have won a silver medal? What happened? Too bad, was hoping for a better representation from the home state. PhillyHomeBrew (176), Forest Hills, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 21, 2008 This beer is a bright orange color with a bit of cloudiness. There is a burnt aroma with a bit of berries and citrus. The flavor is nice at first but becomes flavorless on the palate shortly after. It starts with a big malt flavor with a bit of citrus but ends with a bit of a metallic flavor.
