JPDIPSO (4178), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA May 15, 2008 Dark golden to light amber color. Caramel, light fruit and just a hint of citric hops aromas. I Keep trying to hind the components that make me wince when I smell an amber and I’m honing in on it with this brew. Something about the fruit, caramel and hops just does not work for me. I’m suddenly smelling a caramel apple with herbs on the outside. Lightly sweet citric start. LIght stomach acid at times. Sourdough and hints of caramel. I’m thinking Caribbean lager with a amber twist.
Sledge Jr (2692), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 24, 2008 In the bottle from Beertopia. Amber with a thin white head. Has a biscuit aroma. Rich caramel flavor, but not much in the bitternes category. Surprisingly unlike a pale ale. Not bad, but no knee slapper either. I doubt I’d drink this again. Just too pedestrian. rizk (36), central florida, USA May 29, 2008 pours darker orange. light white head that does not last. sweet caramel / malty mouthfeel. some citrusy overtones. watery aftertaste. maybe a lingering floral tast and aroma. nothing too impressive. daknole (479), Plantation, Florida, USA May 20, 2008 Fair but not great. Pretty nice amber color. Aromas are hops and some malt. Citrus flavors and watery texture. Not that good. darn1207 (170), Tallahassee, Florida, USA May 18, 2008 12oz bottle. clear amberish gold w/ thin yellow head. citrus, honey, caramel nose. thin and astringent taste. malt bitter backbone.
