Dark Orange bronze with a light khaki colored head. The raspberries dominate the nose with some bread crust. Overall the fruit is pretty strong. It is slightly bitter with some lemon peel zest and raspberries behind that bitterness. There is also some green banana. Difficult to drink, with a strange spicy black pepper finish. Really bad, even for the poor style.

Sampled at Florida Beer Company in Melbourne, FL. Pours a hazy pinkish amber with virtually no head. Smells strongly of ripe fruit, especially raspberries. Reminds of a lambic in the nose. Flavor is also decidedly ripe fruit, raspberries, some wheat. Light bodied with a slightly lingering sweet finish.

12 oz bottle

I’m not sure that I would have picked this up but when it came in a recent trade I decided to give it a try. It wasn’t bad but it was your typical fruit beer. If you don’t in with high expectations it might actually be nice with a burger over the grill.

Aroma / Appearance - The ash white head contrasted against the cloudy amber body below. The nose was pretty one dimensional - raspberry puree, wheat and a tartness that I can only assume is not intended.

Flavor / Palate - Wheat, orange and a loaf of rye bread mingle in the mouth. A residual maltiness brings out the raspberry. Fading fairly quickly it is acceptable but not much more than average.

In trade from Daknole- 12 oz. bottle poured into flute- poured 85% transparent, looks like old apple cider, low carbonation of tiny bubbles. Aroma of raspberries and malt with a note of funk in there, hmm... hits the mouth with a small body, some wheat, some raspberries, but it fades away rather rapidly, finish is dry much like drinking a heavily carbonated cider. It reminded me of this stuff that I had as a kid- some non-alc. wine spritzer that had ALOT of carbonation and fake raspberry taste to it. Not my cup of tea, but then again I did ask for it, so it’s all on me!

Pours amber with a medium-sized white head. Strong raspbery aroma and flavor. Clean finish. Not a sickening amount of berries, so I would drink it again.

12oz Bottle - Trade - Daknole
Aroma – Nice malt aroma with a good fruity aroma coming off this nose.
Appearance – Golden in color, Nice head and slight hazy.
Flavor – A very nice fruit beer. Had a good wheat flavor with the raspberry this was a decent attempt at a fruit beer. The chicks will like this beer.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, Nice texture with a dry fruity finish.
Overall – The beer gets a bad rap for being fruity but this style is very hard to get right they did a very good job and got a good product for this beer. Not overpowering this beer tasted like it should wheat malt with fruit background.
