Bottle - as Bernstein (Thanks Ungstrup) at Lord Nelson. Clear dark amber - white head. Grainy, caramel, toffee, hay, sweetness, candy, roasted, nutty, chocolate, berries, straw. OK.

Nov 5, 2009 Bottled from tap, comes as "Husumer Bernstein". Clear deep amber colour with a medium white creamy head. Aroma has roasty caramel and a good deep maltiness. Flavour is pleasantly sweet with a deep maltiness and caramel, light bitterness.

Clear medium orange amber color with a average, creamy to frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity, berry - plum notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091023]

Oct 23, 2009 Clear amber with a medium beige head. Sweet yeasty aroma with toasted malt, wheat and hints of fruits. Flavour was sweet with toasted malt, caramel and wheat notes. Finished sweet.

Feb 14, 2008 From tap at the brewpub, as Bernstein. Pours clear amber with a white head. Light sweet and fruity aroma. Light fruity and fresh subdued hoppy note. Light sweetness and lingering bitterness into the finish. Nice and refreshing.

Apr 18, 2007 Draught, 5.6-5.8% at the brewpub as Husumer Bernstein. Almost clear amber colour, OK stable white head. OK maltiness in flavour, slightly nutty aftertaste. OK mouthfeel. Mild flavour and low bitterness making it quite palatable.
