Brownish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is earth, caramel, alcohol with some Madeiralike notes. Flavour is caramel, some alcohol, raisins and mild berryish notes. After rating IIended up blending the "strange one" and the "normal one" which also quite surprisingly resulted in a quite nice thing. mrdasilva (120), Helsinki, Finland

Clear, dark, amber golden with no head whatsoever - looks like a vintage cognac. Fat aroma of caramel, overripe fruit and alcohol. Very full-bodied with hardly any carbonation. Plenty of sweet caramel, overripe fruit and vanilla accents. Almost no bitterness, but a warming alcohol in the finish. A decent British style Barley wine. 120108 Grovlam (3810), Copenhagen, Denmark
