Draught at Beer Hunter’s, from old notes. Dark ruby brown, creamy pale head. Herbal hoppy nose with smooth maltiness. Good balance. Flavor has strong hops, caramel malts, liquorice and some dried fruits lurking about. Almost medium bodied, low carbonation. Nicely balanced, hoppy brownie.

A good balance with hops and malts. One of the best brown ales I´ve ever tasted. It´s getting better all the time...

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki on 2008-02-15) Dark amber colour. Medium sized creamy head. Lots of hops in nose. A clear bite of hops in taste followed by lightly roasted malts. Pleasant combination of malts and hops.

Draught at Helsinki Beer Festival 2008. Mahagony color with creamy head. Sweetish, lemony, catty and dry hop aroma. Bittersweet, fruity, lemony and chocolatey flavor with minerally edge. Fairly carbonated, not very drinkable.

Draught@Maltainen Monni, Helsinki. Gloomy dark color, low rusty head. Aroma of wet coffee grounds. Light, roasted malt taste is quickly overwhelmed by the bitter finish. Not my kind of brown ale.

Cask. Dark red body, beige real ale head. Taste chocolate initially, then some menthe, and suddenly the massive finish attacks! One of the best bitter finishes I’ve had actually.

Draught. Deep murky ruby colour with mediumsized creamy beige head. Aroma is mildly roasted malts along with quite much fruity and flowery hops. Flavour is sweet malts along with fruity/flowery hops and some mild notes of nuts. Wellbalanced.

Draught (St. Urho’s, Helsinki)
Dark red, thin keggy head. Sweet brown malty aroma. Decent carbonation. Very potent hoppy taste, full-bodied maltiness. but a real depth to the hops. Not sticky though - crisp, and gingery in places. Leaves a tasty very long bitter finish.
