| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Pours black, with a small tanned head. Pretty strong herbal menthol nose, little salmiak, molasses and vanilla, slightly hollow. Same menthol herbs in the flavor, licorice, sweetness, enough balancing bitterness, coal and sticky licorice notes in the short finish, bit of yeast. Quite similar with Slottskällans Impy actually. Medium to full bodied, a bit sticky smooth palate. Simple and easy, but still better than expected and beats the hell out of those Piss-and-Poo’s. harrisoni (6798), Ashford, Kent, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Bottle at Chriso pre-GBBF tasting 09. Very dark brown, very choccy and espresso. Pretty chewy on the choc but pretty good. I like the sweet choc. Choc malt, dark caramel. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 2, 2009 Courtesy of Per Black color; creamy head. The aroma, with some roasted malt chocolate and hop, is quite perfumy. It has a good caramel and chocolate flavor, quite sweet but not thick or syrupy; balanced and pleasant. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2009 Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of oh6gdx. Dark brown with an orange hue and a small, rough off-white head. Intense aroma of overripe fruit and hard roasted malt. Quite full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, hard roasted malts and some sweet vanilla. Sweetish yet burned malty finish with distinct alcohol. 240709 omhper (12224), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Very black with ultrabrief dark brown head. Heavy coffee aroma. Sweet and roasty. Too sweet with a wealth of coffee liqueur and syrup. Clean mouthfeel prohibits some flavours to come out. Roasty coffee tries to balance the sweetness. Fairly good, but not one of Huvila’s better beers. cgarvieuk (4183), Edinburgh, Scotland
