500ml Bottle - Hazy copper coloured. Hoppy aroma with grapefruit, toffee and some spicy malt notes. Well balanced, hoppy and malty taste with grapefruit, caramel and spicy element, which is more noticeable in the finish. A tasty beer with plenty of flavour and balance.

Draught at Pikkulintu (as Villijoutsen), Helsinki. Amber color with creamy head. Fruity and grassy hops in the aroma. Sweetish, nutty, caramelly and hoppy flavor with medium bitterness as well as fruity and resiny hops. OK session beer. Surprisingly for Huvila, this reminds me of Shepherd Neame.

Draught (500 ml) at Maltainen Monni, Helsinki, Finland. Hazy copper colour with thin head. Dry flavour is slightly hoppy and bitter with some seasoning. Bitter finish. Flavour could be stronger. But not bad for a Finnish Christmas Ale.

A bottle from K-Supermarket. Round soft nose. Pale beige head. Coppery reddish brown colour. Sour and dry. Largebubbled head. Slightly hazy. Bitter hoppiness at end. Some hints of cacao. Somehow flat.

(Draught at Villi Wäinö, Helsinki, as Huvila Villijoutse on 2008-12-18) Dark reddish brown and clear. Medium sized white head. Malty nose. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Malts, roastedness, chocolate and bitter in taste. Bitter in watery aftertaste.

500 ml bottle. Deep copper color, very slight off-white head. Roasted malt aroma. Malty flavor with a bitter finish. Slightly watery and weak. A somewhat disappointing beer from a great brewery.

Not much head, a bit hazy red-brown color. Sweetly malty, soft, bread-like aroma. Very tempting. Soft, malty and a bit salty flavor. A bit watery but smooth palate. Would work better if it was 5%. Nice anyways.
