grandet (306), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 18, 2007 Nice burnt copper color with a nice off white head. Fruity notes through out with a nice wheat flavor at the end. Pretty good tiggmtl (4180), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Nov 30, 2005 Fruity and very sweet aroma with some bubblegum esters. Clear burnished copper coloured body with a dense and lasting cover of fine bubbled white head. Fruity esters are strong (berries and bubblegum) but offset by the lightly tart wheat character. Medium light body with moderately crisp carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.
Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 6, 2005 Generous rocky white head tops the clear darkish amber liquid. Husky, bready, candyish nose suggests simple banana esters in a globally perfumey nature. Quite underattenuated, the sweetness is rather extreme while the carbonation is very limited. The smallness of the body won’t help this one of feeling like much more than a perfumed potion. DocLock (4085), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 8, 2004 This and the schwarzbier were the highlights of my trip to Hyde Park Brewing. This one pours dark straw with a medium head. Aroma of fruit, malt, hops, yeast, banana, and bubblegum. Tastes malty, with some yeast, citrus, hops, and bubblegum at the finish. Excellent complexity. Medium palate.
