| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 21, 2008 On tap. Pours a copper to dark brown color without much head. Smells of burnt malt and little else. Smooth in the mouth, but rather flat, leading into a disappointing finish which elicits the first appearance of anything hoppy or bitter, and not much of it at that. I haven’t had this beer in a while, but I recall years ago it being a much more solid choice. Heck, if it didn’t come out of the tap flat and they just hopped it a bit more it would have picked up an extra half a point. beastiefan2k (1605), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA

Aroma is bark, some sweet apple/rotten fruits, with some hops trying to break through. Taste is mineral and vegetal with a light body. Brewpub sampler. grandet (486), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jul 26, 2007 I wasn’t going to rate this beer because I believed what I received was not representative of what the brewmaster intended. However, after sending it back as undrinkable I was told by the waitress that 4 other people has tasted it and that 3 of those people made a face while the front end manager said the beer was supposed to taste the way it did. It tasted like it was brewed in a dirty diaper pail. There was a bit of a sour flavor up front and a diaper pail aftertaste. The beer looked nice and there was some lacing from the few sips I had. I feel that there was a problem with the yeast. Beyond that the beer was bitter, but had no flavor from the middle addition of hops nor any hop aroma. A very poor effort that should be poured down the sewer. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Nov 30, 2005 Very low, sweet, soapy, floral, lavender aroma. Clear copper coloured body is topped by a fine bubbled white head. Mildly bitter floral, soapy hops with stale notes of cardboard. Medium light body with soft carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.
