grandet (306), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 18, 2007 Nice and sweet with dark pour with a ncie off white head, very light bitterness toward the end, nice and smooth tiggmtl (4180), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Nov 30, 2005 Mild, sweet, lightly vegetal aroma. Clear, dark brown coloured body with a low but lasting, fine bubbled, off white head that leaves some lacing. Chick peas, sweet malts, creamed corn and herbal notes with light bitterness in the mouth. Medium light body with soft carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.
Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 6, 2005 Great looking frothy head covers the clear dark brown body. Malt focused nose where the restrained fruitiness leaves all the room to a grainy, burnt buttiness. Oxidation traces in abundance and in different shapes (wet paper, rotting apples, penny). Restricted roastiness amplifies the high sweetness. Weak. Maybe the change of brewers is for something? Have they changed brewers at all with Skytop’s opening? MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA Feb 20, 2005 Tap at the brewpub. Dark brown and clear, tan head. Sourdough brewady munich aroma. Malty clean bready flavor. Nicely conditioned munichy flavor. No real flaws.
