Commercial Description:
This is a rich full-bodied American amber ale with a delicate fruity flavor. The sweetness is carefully balanced with Cascade, Willamette and Tettnanger hops from the Yakima Valley. The beer derives its color and caramel flavor from Crystal and Carastan malts. It’s a delicious beer for the real beer drinker. Runaway Red Ale is available in bottles and draft and is best served at 45°F-50°F.

On tap at the brewery. Not into it. Weak malt aroma. Flavor is fairly watery with a bit of faint malt and hop notes tossed in between. Has the structure of a red, but was totally missed. Possibly a weak batch?

Poured a copper-ruby body with a small white frothy head. Creamy, crisp, and tangy. Some caramel and piny bitterness in the finish. Good beer. Very English.

Bottle 12 oz. Fantastic amber ale, almost textbook but executed really well. Great unfiltered, heavy, deep amber color. Very malty with a dry, toasted bready grain character. Slightly sweet with a great hop lineup. Does everything really well, satisfies on many levels, however is a little plain - not really much complexity but still a solid drink.

Pours a nice hazy orange. Aromas of caramel, hint of fruit and hops. Nice creamy malt taste with a nice hop bitterness.
