| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 18, 2007 750ml bottle. Aroma is lightly tart and sour with a not unpleasant hint of musty wood. Pours dark brown with deep amber highlights. Flavor is rather balanced. Dry woodiness and a light tart cherry tartness. Some wet wood. leaps and bounds better than the Grand Cru. Fairly creamy on the palate. Finishes with a woody dryness. yespr (12429), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 20, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours deep reddish towards brown and with a lacing brown head. Earthy and mouldy aroma. Flavour is cane-sugarish sweet and with a mild malt note. Finish is somewhat short and not thrilling but still good. faroeviking (6128), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 12, 2007 750ml bottle. Pours a dark ruby-red with a persistent off-color head and good carbonation. Aroma is a strong sour fruit scent with a bit of yeast and malt...perhaps corn as well? Taste is light and sweet, with an initially dry taste opening up into a flavor of dark fruit, brown sugar, and a bit of a hoppy bite. If nothing else, kudos to this brew for scaring me with its smell and surprising me with its taste. Elizavyeta (110), Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Nov 12, 2007 A dense, dark pour reminiscent of Sprecher’s Bavarian Black with a persistent, slightly creamy head’ pervasive notes of berries, yeast, and chocolate.
The actual flavor is surprisingly tart and tangy with punctuations of rye and pear; a thin mouthfeel and great deal of fermentation-like effervescence.
Oud Bruin would do best as simply a sipping beer, but if you must pair something with it, keep it simple: Ridderost or maybe a Port Salut. Bart (1670), Brussels, Belgium
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 12, 2007 Darker brown coloured beer with some light carbonation and an average off-whtie head. Rather strange herby creamy aroma. Full creamy palate. Finish is sweet-light sour. Medium one.
