Beautiful red mahogany and a loose head with big bobbles. The aroma is sweet/sour with berry notes. The flavour is surprisingly sweet, too much for my liking in a sour. It has notes of berries and a hint of licorice. 1968

25cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers, Abele. Deep ruby/brown colour with lasting tan head. Woody dry malt, tiny bit of sourness. Some sourness in mouth, but sweet candy sugar too. This leads to a sourish finish. Odd lemony deep malt flavour. A dubbel with a touch of lemony sourness. Sourness is definitely there, but offset by sweet malt.

Bottle. Pours a dark ruby-amber with a little creamy off white head. Aroma is moldy with clear ryebread tones. Flavour is initially quite sour, bt quickly turns sweet with a caramelly edge. A touch of fruitiness as well.
