First sip is like biting into a grapfruit! Awsome not bitter great smooth hops. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Apr 20, 2008 On draught at the City Lounge in Cudahy, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some good retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet citrus hops, a touch of caramel malt, some toffee and some light Mandarin oranges. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of grapefruit zest, light caramel and some mild orange. Finish has a lingering mild bitterness that has a light aftertaste of grapefruit and caramel malt. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Mar 16, 2008 Draught at City Lounge. Orange/Amber colored with med sized head, nice lacing. Faint hoppy aroma. A medium bitter finish, though a bit thin compared with other IPAs I’ve had recently. Decent, but not great. prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Aug 31, 2007 I want to like this beer more than I do. For one, I love IPAs, and if it weren’t for my love for / obsession with stouts and other Beers Dark, I’d consider myself a hophead. That said, this one just doesn’t do it. It’s hoppy, and has that citrus bite, but it doesn’t last. It’s like a light IPA. But still a nice session beer and above average. Scubatrip (388), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Sep 12, 2006 On tap at the Landmark 1850 in Milwaukee, this is a pretty good beer. Not overly hoppy in the nose or mouth, which isn’t a bad thing. More carmel and light floral, earthy hops for flavor. Also very foamy in the mouthfeel. Not a great beer for hop heads, but I really enjoyed it. JPDIPSO (4865), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Feb 9, 2006 Hazy dark golden color with an off-white head. Mild aromas of caramel malt and a short burst of lightly citric hops. Dry caramel start with an earthy herbal hops balancing flavor. A woody linger that begs to be quenched, but the next swallow repeats the process.
