III Dachshunds Pierblad Pale Ale

Rated basically from memory of a pour at Landmark 1850. JPDIPSO is right -- from the description one would think one was going to drink a Pale Ale, with its attendant floral aroma and bitter flavor from the hops. Instead, you get a nicely balanced malty PA, which is truly more of a bitter than a PA. Decent beer, maybe it just needs a new name!

Light golden color with a small dense off white head. Faint pale malt and citric aroma. Earthy malt and hopsack flavors. More like a bitter. Sound good but the description does not translate to the pour.
