Skyview (4006), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Sep 9, 2007 On draught at the City Lounge in Cudahy, Wisconsin as "Purebred Coffee Porter." Pours an opaque near black brew with a fast dissolving tan head that leaves behind a tan ring and good lacing. Aroma of mostly dry roasted coffee, some black malt and a touch of caramel. Taste is full bodied, very light carbonation with a sweet dark roast malt and coffee flavor. Finish is semi-sweet of dark roasted malt and more coffee aftertaste. prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Aug 31, 2007 Now here is a nice Porter! Sweet, with some spices, but enough hops to balance that with bitterness. Dark pour from the tap at Landmark 1850. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jan 3, 2005 Tasted suspiciously similar to the Oatmeal Stout, and I had each on hand to compare their tastes. Only area where the tastes differed was in this porter, with it tasting less rich. Smelled some malt, and traces of caramel and coffee. Tasted smooth, mild and middle of the road.
