Well balanced and easy to drink. mwoolley (5), Washington DC, USA does not count | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Dull caramel with no hops and little malt to redeem it. I wasn’t disappointed when I had finished the pint. KAggie97 (2482), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

Aroma is a nice malt, and it pours like iced tea with a strawberry syrup within it. Taste is a biting hops and roasted malt. Palate is slippery. Nice effort, but a few tries away from an excellent beer. Keep trying! shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA

I tried a lot of what would be called their "smaller" beers, and I thought they were of quality. The amber was no different. motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 3, 2003 Musty, woody, caramel amber. Bright amber color (surprise surprise). Malty base with a bit of fruit, though slight. Strong carbonation tingling my tongue, mild bitterness, with a long finish in the mid-back of the tongue. A bit of burn seemed to hit my lips--was it really the alcohol? BeerSlacker (34), Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 18, 2003 Hoppy nose, amber colour. Northwest hops (Cascades) given the style a definite push in the Pale Ale direction. Light-bodied, finishes dry and hoppy. Refreshing on a hot summer day. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA
