One of IBP’s better products, but still an example of a poorly crafted IPA. It has a nice reddish color, but a sweet minimally hopped lack of flavor. A tourist beer.

faint floral aroma. golden amber with thin head. something quite off in the flavor, pez. tastes like pez. chalky, sweet, floral-citrus hop, pepto bismol, sugar sweets. keeps making me think of pez, not in a good way. kinda bad.

Had this at the brew pub on draft. Honestly thought this was one of the worst IPAs I have ever had. I am not sure if it was a bad batch or it simply just sucks, but I certainly didnt enjoy it.

Golden body with a receding, cottony white head. Aroma of popcorn butter, fruit and some mild floral hops. Flavor suggests malt syrup and medium diacetyl with moderate bitterness. A sad IPA.

Not a well concieved IPA from Independence. The slightest aroma, medium bitterness, with citrus the dominating flavor. My guess is the minimal amount of hops were used to qualify this as an IPA.

On tap at the brew pub. Poured a clear and medium golden color (no where near the copper color as mentioned in the description) with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of oranges with some flowers. Tastes of oranges and very light grapefruit. Very lightly bitter with a very light honey sweetness.

Re-rate on 2/18/07. This one poured darker than the 1st rate I did - a medium and clear amber color. Still getting the citric oranges. Medium sweet with a very light bitterness (not your american style IPA hop bomb).

Very drinkable, cascade hops, floral and grapefuit aroma. Creamy smooth with significant grapefruit notes, bitter hop aftertaste. Medium bodied, I can stay with this all night.

Nice citrus aroma on this IPA, has a similar but well balanced flavor. Pours a nice copper/orange color and went down smooth. I would say get this or the Stout when visiting.
