Actually not very powerful in the mouth but seemed a bit on the choclate side and not too earthy. Was a decent drinking beer. Sammy (4065), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 25, 2005 Pours nice dark black with small head. Smells and tastes a lot like a Guinness. It just wasn’t as good and was not really an oatmeal stout. Could have been better, but was nice. Grandpa (325), Verona, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 22, 2004 A nice, creamy head that faded quickly but left sip lines and lacing. Good strong body with a pleasant roasted grain flavor. Spent the better part of the afternoon with this one. Next time I’m in Philly this is a priority stop! XO (52), New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2004 A full-bodied stout that pours as black as Guinness. Very long-lasting nitro head with plenty of lacing. It’s brewed with milk sugar and malted oats; 5.0 ABV. I enjoyed it! Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2004 Looked and amelled very much like Guinness. The taste was roasted and dry with coffee and nuts. Light, drinkable and good. My favorite of the four beers they had online. egajdzis (3641), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 29, 2004 Nitro at the brewpub. Poured opaque black with a tight tan, creamy, head and nice lacing on the glass. Sweet chocolate, roasty, and marshmellow aroma. Roasted and toasted oats, sweet chocolate and anise in the taste. Mouthfeel was milky and creamy with very light carbonation. By far the highlight that this brewpub had to offer last night. hopdog (5622), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
