Sweet aroma, licorice, chocolate, coffee. Deep, smooth. Dark brown black clear with thin lacing light tan head. Light-medium body with mild carbonation. Starts with smoky roasted malts, acidity, and light bitter. Finish is smooth bitter roastiness, chocolate malt, coffee. After is mild bitter tangy, chocolate. --CASK CONDITIONED VERSION: Smoother body and carbonation. Less acidity and bitterness, more roasted sweetness. Overall, more mellow.

saved this for last and at least it had a little more flavour than their other beers. some roast oat aroma, hint of molasses and beginning-to-turn milk in the finish

Supersweet. Other than that, it was an average stout, maybe somewhat thinner than it should have been but the roast flavors and smokey notes were nice!

Part of the sampler at the brewery. Not a bad beer. Slight roasty finish. A tad to watery tasting for me.

Not too bad. Sampled this today and found it to be very roasty with a hint of coffee flavor. A pretty good example of the style.

Had this both from the cask and on draft. Roasted oat impressions and smooth. Nutty and smoky. An OK stout.

Black color, kept an excellent throughout the pint, chocolate undertones, a hint of coffee in the aftertaste, full body, very rich head, a lot of sweetness to the overall taste, very nice stout
