Independence Winter Warmer

On tap at the Brew Pub. Served in a 6oz glass. Bartender told me this was their Barley Wine and people come from all around just to try it and asked if I’m sure I wanted a beer that was 9.2%. Poured a medium and clear golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of light alcohol and sweet malts. Tastes was a little fruity and sweet. Medium alcohol burn in the finish. I don’t believe it was a Barley Wine.

6 oz draft at the brew pub. Clear (but not crystal clear) pale yellow beer, no head, fine lace. Full, rich mouthfeel - similar to a pale double bock? Starts off a bit sweet, then crisp finish. A hint of spice - I’ll guess coriander/ginger.
