500 ml bottle shared by yngwie. Dense tan one-finger head. Dark brown to near black body. Almost no clarity. Low aroma level; ashy dark malts and a scent of dark dried fruits. Taste is semidry dark malts, a little roastisess, some mild coffee notes, and traces of mild bittering hops. Skinny body. Watery texture. Short, dry malty ending. Unexciting.

Bottle, courtesy of Vea. Pours reddish black with firm offwhite head. Lots of chocolate and espresso aromas with roast malt. Dryish metallic taste. Powerful finish. Not my kinda beer...

Bottle. (#817) The beer pours a very dark brown body under a nice but rather quickly diminishing beige head. Burnt, bonfire-sourish aroma with a touch of dried fruits. Would like the aroma to be more pronounced, it was a bit anonymous. Medium body, quite dry in the mouth, with flavors of roasted malt and some bitterness. Touch of coffee too. Lasting burnt finish. A decent beer, but far from outstanding. (080708)

Biggish beige head does not last. Opaque black body goes barely translucent brown-red at edges. Thin, rather vague roasty faintly smoky and acidic aroma. Dry lightly acidic and burnt smoky taste. Quite watery and thin-bodied. Watery-acidic roasty chocolatey aftertaste. Boring and too thin. (0.5l bottle from yngwie.)
