Commercial Description:
Malty sweetness is dominant with clean lager flavours. Malt character comes through in aroma & flavour with caramel & toffee contributing to the complexity. Alcoholic strength is high, but smooth & warming. Hop bitterness is low & rich, fruity esters may be perceived.

Draught at the brewpub Looks better than the Smokey 61, deep dark ruby body, light tan head. First sip nothing stands out too much - served too cold, toasted caramel then, smooth and lightly warming. I like this one, not big on aroma and the length is not that long - simple and straightforward and very easy to drink.
