Commercial Description: The German word Bernsteinfarbens means amber coloured and as such this interpretation of the style is dark yellow to amber in colour. Characterized by a distinct sweet maltiness and caramel or bready character from the use of medium coloured malts and 50% pale wheat. Estery and phenolic elements are evident but subdued, hop bitterness is low and hop flavour and aroma is absent. With a rounded bubblegum middle palate and brewed with the addition of Peach, this interpretation of the German beer style Bernsteinfarbens Weissbier is perfect for an Australian Octoberfest.
