Overall Impression:
I can’t find a lot of notes to go with this rating, but I do see that I thought it was a nice, not great, but solid Amber ale.
**Just submitted a photo for this one, as it was missing one. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 24, 2009 Hazy amber. Nice head. Faint caramel nose with light English hop. Clean but bland malt-accented brew. OK, drinkable, little caramel, slightly herbal. The usual boring amber. Sammy (3928), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 21, 2009 Bottle sampled at the brewery. Medium yellow, carbonation bubbles, and some head. Basic beer, malt job and a beer smell. Light mouthfeel, overcarbonated. Redkneck beer again. I don’t really want this on a hot day unless the water supply is infected. Holdwine (904), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Jan 28, 2009 Pretty average amber. Enough flavor to keep it above 2, but not enough to go with a light malt character to get it to 3. joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA Oct 27, 2008 Actualy this is the best beer I have tasted from the indian river brewing company thanks to homer 321 he bought it last year at the brewery and it taste really good with age daknole (2800), Plantation, Florida, USA Sep 14, 2008 I think this was the beer I had on tap at The Yardhouse in Palm Beach. Amber pour, small tannish head. Aroma is sweet malt, some crackers and some grains. Flavor is typical and not worth writing home about. Oh well. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 10, 2008 This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was somewhat faint and sweet fruity and floral hops. The flavor was tangy, sour and lightly sweet with fruity hops and a bit of nut and caramel underneath. Pleasant. crazyvin (1245), New York, USA Jun 5, 2008 poured a nice crisp looking amber hue with a thin white head that had no retention. A look of mild carbonation. Aroma seemed to have a sweet malt note, and the flavor was similar not a whole lot going on. Hops need not apply i guess.
