Commercial Description:
This smooth rich dark southern German dobblebock is an Indian Wells Brewing Co. favorite. This 10.8% beer is powerful, but VERY easy to drink! This beer is not for the timid. A few of them and you’ll feel like you’ve had a frontal lobotomy the next day. Consume with caution!

Pours a dark thick cola colour .. . decent head pool .. . wonderful aroma, from coffee cake to molasses and burnt sugar, Very nice .. . very smooth, where is the alcohol!?!? wow, dry and flavourful... Amazing doppelbock, IMO, because i really don’t like doppels and this is easy to drink and very clean... insane... . . Not cloying or thick, just easy to put down.. . raven crow never smile .. . . Dangerous stuff, truly.. you’d drink 4 in half an hour and fall down... . i miss being a baby, just lying on the ground, rolling around....

Dark rich brown, thin head. Sugary sweet, direct. Light bodied, thin in character. Dark roast, little burnt caramel, smooth and way too drinkable for 11%.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a half finger tan head that leaves spotty lacing. The nose is caramel and dark fruit. The taste is caramel, light chocolate and dark fruit. Light-to-medium bodied. Decent. Would be better with a fuller mouthfeel.

Bottle from lb4lb. Thanks! Pours dark with a small beige head. Aroma has chocolate and roast malt but some kind of weird vegetable like thing...hmm. Flavor is sweet and also has some kind of herbal deal. Very different, do not know if it is intentional but probably not.

(12oz bottle, courtesy of blutt59) Pours a clear brown body with a spare beige head. Aroma of caramel, maple, and raisins. Flavor of raisins, caramel malt, nuts, and molasses.

Raisiny, chocolate aroma. Dark mohogany appearance. Slight off-white head. Nutty flavor, hint of molasses. Light bodied, definitely hides the 10% ABV very well. Tasty, would drink again.

Bottle. Aroma is a swift gust of raisin and molasses, with hints of chocolate malt and bread trailing behind. Average mahogany body with a nice, respectable off-white head. Flavor is chalky, smoky molasses and it simply does not work. Such a letdown; this beer could be so much more with some tweaking. Watery mouthfeel. Little to recommend other than a cool name. This beer is 10.8% ABV? Really? Hardly noticeable.
