This dark brown ale poured with a thin tan head. The flavor is not as rich as the better doppelbocks, but there is a decent caramel malt base with some fruit notes and, surprisingly, no hint of alcohol.

Sep 27, 2008 Bottle from whole foods, San Diego. Aroma is sweet malt, not very impressive in the nose. The beer is dark and sweet. Alcohol content is completely hidden. Its very thin, and like some have said, I can’t believe that the alcohol can be this high in a beer this thin. Drink it if you want an easy way to get hammered, otherwise leave it alone.

does not count  Sep 4, 2008 The beer Pours a dark brown and Smell pretty good. And the beer was given the 10.8%. But I think it’s more like 7.0% The beer is from wholefoods. Dark brown ale with almost no head. but on sale for $6.99.

Aug 14, 2008 (Vegas trip) I had to buy this one after seeing the name and label. Deep red brown with a thick brown head. Aroma is malt and smooth. Light bodied with light flavor as well, malty, and very drinkable. No hint of the high alcohol in the flavor. Very drinkable brew.

Aug 13, 2008 Bottle: Have tried a few brews from IWB, consistenly good solid beers! Lobotomy is another great examples of craftmanship. Completely agree "10.8% beer is powerful, but VERY easy to drink! "

Aug 4, 2008 Poured a murky brown color with a small off white head. Aroma was of dark dried fruits, some brown sugar and other malts. Flavor is much the same, kinda of bland, nothing really sticks out, but the label is right, it is extremely drinkable and hides the alcohol very well.
