(4/3/2/3/5, 1.7 overall)
07-May-05 (12 oz bottle: Trader Joe’s in Pacific Beach, CA) Okay, I mistakenly bought a second bottle of this stuff, but decided it was okay because then I could see if the last bottle had issues or if the beer is really that bad. While not a good beer by any stretch of the imagination, this isn’t as bad as the first tasting session. It’s kind of a mildly sweet, honey, caramel flavor, mildly bitter until the finish where it gains more notoriety. Thankfully the sourness of the dreadful finish isn’t present here. Still not a good beer, but not as horrible as the previous rating. TChrome (1302), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 30, 2004 Reddish orange in color with a thick off white this pale lager has aromas more akin to a marzen. Some definite malt in the nose with the other prominant aroma being a smell I have only been able to call "time in the lagering tank" aroma. Flavor falls a bit short, however. Light malty flavor and that’s about all. Decent overall, wonderful for the style. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 30, 2004 A reddish color with little head. A mild malty aroma is present. The flavor is quite tame with just a hint of caramel in there. It is a bit watered downed. This beer isn’t bad its just boring. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 24, 2004 Bottle pours amber, small off-white milkish head, light carbonation, with spotty lacing. Light fruity flavor, pears and apples, on the nose. Perhaps some sweet grass and straw too. Forwardly fruity, slightly nutty, but a slight cardboard flavor too. Finishes slight malty with a minor grain flavor. Not great, but not bad. Thanks goes out to Flipbrewer for the trade!

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2004 Pours a clear copper color with a two fingered dirty white head. The nose has some sweet maltiness in it. The flavor is a bit malty up front w/ a tiny bit of hops on the finish. This is a good lawn mower beer. Nothing spectacular, but a good thirst quencher on a hot day.
