Aug 16, 2009 Ratings that say beer smells sweet, is malty and eh are not helpful at all. Way to vary the use of descriptive words ... That being said. Nose has notes of roast, cola, chocolate abd some earth. There is a definite light tartness that I got in all their beers. Pours a nice cola color with a creamy tan head. The flavor is verƯ english. Malt forward - cola, chocolate, caramek, roast. Earthy bitterness in the finish and that soft twang that actually went well with this one imo. My favorite of the bunch.

Jun 20, 2009 Sweet rich malty brown beer. Some pleasant yeasty characteristics with little bitter finish. A very British beer if that makes sense.

Apr 9, 2009 On tap at brewery. Clear brown with a fluffy off white head. Sweet malty aroma and a candy sweet caramel taste with a mild nuttiness.

Feb 20, 2009 Taster from brewery. Medium brown pour with an off-white head. Light malty aroma, decent malt flavor as well. It was a little thin, but pretty good.
