Golden pour with a big creamy head and some sticky lace. Notes of caramel, bread, and floral/grassy hops. All with an odd buggy tartness. Not bad, but as I drank more it became a little off putting and with work this one could be a decent session ale. can8ianben (904), Pasadena, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 20, 2009 A smooth pale ale - almost yellow in color with a white frothy head. Sweet and spicy with a dry bitter finish. Served a little cold, and that may show why I couldn’t detect much in the way of hop presence in the nose. badlizard (2360), Berkeley, California, USA

Malty taste with strong grassy notes on the back end. Hophead22 (1105), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 20, 2009 Taster at the brewery. Dark gold pour with a white head. Not alot of aroma, slightly off. Taste was very fruity, not much of a hop profile at all, not great, but they are working on it and I will revisit when they tweak the recipe a bit.
