| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2009 Bottled sample. Gold in colour with fairly strong and spritzy carbonation. Aromas are of white grapefruit, black pepper, pale malts, and dry leaves. More of a grapefuit and orange combo in the mouth, along with more spice and caramel arriving mid-sip. Some floral and very mild fruity UK yeast notes on the back end. Mineral and leafy dry on the finish. Medium to light bodied. Very fresh tasting. Way closer to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale than you might expect from a 4.1 % abv beer from Scotland. zach8270 (2090), Henrietta, New York, USA
